“Laser Tag”

I had some fun with lights in this image. Lots of color going in every direction. The first thought that came to my mind was laser Tag!
So, enjoy this colorful abstract light image!! 🙂

“Lead by the Light”

Wonderful feel of Autumn

You can certainly tell that fall was in the air when I took this shot! I had just been to the area looking out onto the two lakes described in the previous post.
I wondered off for a short ways down this dirt road, and grabbed a few shots. The strong late afternoon light was as if it was leading me in that direction. This area as I described before was like a small mountain. Completely forest filled and totally uninhabited by humans, except for those that wandered up to look out at the beautiful view or to come to a beautiful, but very secluded grave yard nestled among old and beautiful trees.
I didn’t take any shots of the graveyard itself. It had a private feel to it. I felt as though I would be intruding if I did.
I simply enjoyed the sheer beauty of the dirt road, the autumn color with lovely sunlight, and the wonderful views down below!

“Across Two Lakes”

While up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan earlier this fall. I spent a lot of time driving around wherever the roads took me. I don’t even know the name of the first lake in this image because I decided to turn onto a dirt road that obviously only went in one direction (not made for two-way traffic), that took me winding and weaving to the top of a huge hill(small mountain).
The overlook was amazing. The time of day for the direction I was facing wasn’t the best, but you could see for miles and miles!! The woods that surrounded the first lake were just beginning to show some gorgeous fall color. As you look past that you can see a section of Lake Superior, then further on you can see part of Canada. What a view!!
The sky didn’t have much drama in it at the time, but I can just imagine this scene with a storm approaching from the northwest! Ooooh, that’s an idea!! Next time I’m up that way, I’ll make it a point to head over there in bad weather! 😉

I can see for miles and miles!!

“Unspoken”

"Unspoken"
Wonderful back lit woodlands of Birch and Maples!

The wonderful late afternoon sunlight comes strongly from behind the trees illuminating the gold and yellow highlights in the background.
The oranges and greens of the maple leaves, as well as the colors of the birch bark become deepened. All happening in silence. All simply; unspoken beauty!

“Winds on Waters Deep”

In my autumn travels in the often hurried and mad search for color I came upon this area of a large lake. I had to stop the car quite a ways off and walk down a country road to be able to get in a few shots.
The whole area is miles and miles of lake, some quite wide and deep, other areas becoming more narrow like a river mouth.
I loved this section here because of the beautiful tall grasses that line the shoreline, and the starting of autumnal color. It happened to be quite a windy day which isn’t my favorite photography weather, but it did lend itself nicely to the movement of the grasses!
I hope to be able to locate this place again in the wintertime. I imagine the lake will be beautiful frozen over with ice, and the trees laden with snow!

Lovely autumn lakeside scene!

“Smoke on the Water” B&W

While going through and processing some images today, most of which are not abstract. I decided to convert a couple of the images to black white. This one is an abstract and gives me the feeling of smoke. Consequently the first words that came to my mind when searching for a title were “Smoke on the Water”. Now all I need is fire in the sky! 😉
Of course for those who know the song, you can understand how it is now stuck in my head for the rest of the evening LOL!

Beautiful black and white abstract image.

“Color Stroll”

What makes you feel more engaged, and engrossed in autumn splendor than a stroll down a lovely tree lined street, or lane! I was able to capture this area at two different times this fall. This image is from early October. The trees all change color at different times here because of the wide variety of species, so it gave me the chance to get more than one color splurge!! 🙂

A little bit of eye candy in autumn!

“When Fall Was Young”

The beauty of early autumn along the shores of lake Michigan.
The beauty of autumn when it first begins! This tree stands short, and strong in the heavy winds along Lake Michigan. Fall color has just begun in that area at the time, but if you love trees you’ll find the beauty in them no matter what time of year! Call me a Tree Lover! 😉
