I hope everyone has had a fantastic weekend!! I thought I’d put up one of my latest abstracts this evening. It’s something really vibrant and strong, so not for the faint of heart! (Just Kidding) 😉
This image gave me the feeling of a super nova or strong burst of light. Yes, true , they aren’t really comparable!! Anyway, I hope you enjoy it, and can feel the beauty and strength it brings forth! A real burst of light!

“Abstract Photography”
As many of you all know. I’ve spent quite a bit of time doing abstract images this fall. I have really enjoyed doing them, and plan to continue with them as well as doing my usual landscape, nature, and other types of photography.
I think from what I can see. Abstracts are something that you either love or hate. Feel a connection to or just want to dismiss.
For me, each image can be seen and thought of in so many ways. They can tell many stories. I could tell you exactly what the images are of, where they were taken, what the weather was, etc., but that takes all the imagination out of it.
I prefer to leave my abstracts for each individual to put their own ideas or thoughts into it. Imagine whatever they want it to be.
I’ll leave you with some of my latest abstracts. See how you like them, or not. It’s all up to you! 🙂

“When Fall Was Young”
“Out in the Country”
The beauty of living in the northern part of Michigan. Farms are everywhere. Plenty of open land, orchards and wonderful woodlands are around every bend.
Lake Michigan isn’t far away, and in this case can even be seen in the left, above the trees.
Early autumn changes had begun at the time this was taken, but the wonderful Michigan weather of late September was still in the air!
This was the time when pumpkins and apples were being harvested. Farmers were preparing their farms for the winter season ahead.
For me though, I was able to look out in wonder of the beauty around me, and of the people who live in this community, of close knit, hard working people of the land!
“Ann Arbor in Mural”

A wonderful mural of areas of the city of Ann Arbor Michigan. Painted on a concrete wall that goes under and on either side of a railroad bridge.
Fall color was at it’s peak at the time, so you can see some golden foliage above the railroad also.
I don’t know the artist, I should try to find out.
That will be my next task! 🙂
“Caught in a Swirl”
This image is a bit different from my usual. I’m trying out a new type of image editing software for a new company.Â
All of my previous abstract images were done completely in camera. This one is different. I took a lovely autumn path, and gave it the look of being caught up in a complete swirl. A swirl of autumn! I’d be interested in hearing what you think.Â
“Dawn’s Early Light”
The sunrises over the Great Lakes tend to be exceptionally beautiful in my opinion. This image here was taken over Lake Huron in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The colors in the sky were awesome. I’ve noticed that Michigan’s UP has many types of cloud formations that are quite common to the area, but are less common, or even unseen in many other places. They aren’t completely represented here, but in future posts I’ll be showing you some of what I think are some wonderful and beautiful cloud formation images. Enjoy! 🙂
